This is a digital pattern to be downloaded through the link in your email after purchase.
________
MYR SWEATER is a colourwork sweater, perfect for everything from countryside walks to days at the office.
The body is worked in the round from the bottom up. The work is then divided into front and back sections, which are worked flat separately.
The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. The body and sleeves are finished with 2×2 ribbing. Finally, stitches are picked up for the neckband, which is worked in 2x2 ribbing.
Difficulty: 3 out of 3
Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6)
Sweater circumference: 120 (130) 140 (150) 160 (170) cm
Length: 48 (50) 52 (54) 56 cm
The sweater is designed to be worn with 30–50 cm of positive ease. Choose your size based on your full chest circumference.
The model measures 84 cm around the chest and is wearing the sweater in size 2 which gives a positive ease of 46 cm.
Yarn: 1 strand of Mellow by Ullen Yarns (50g = 125m).
Main colour (MC): 400 (450) 500 (550) 600 (600) g
Contrast colour 1 (CC1): 150 (150) 200 (200) 200 (250) g
Contrast colour 2 (CC2) : 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (100) g
The sample is worked in Ground (MC), Vanilla (CC1), and Water (CC2).
Gauge: 20 stitches and 24 rounds in stockinette on needle 4.5 mm equals 10 cm in width and 10 cm in height after blocking.
It is important to obtain the correct gauge for the sweater to fit as intended. If you have fewer stitches per 10 cm, go down a needle size. If you have more stitches per 10 cm, go up a needle size.
Needles: 4.5 mm circular needle, 60 or 80 cm long
4 mm circular needle, 60 or 80 cm long
The sleeves and neck may be worked using either double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop method, according to your preference.
